Rules

The general rules for the PierceSMP.com Minecraft Server, Forums, Discord and Store.

• Blacklisted Modifications are not allowed
• Chat rules apply
• Team griefing is not allowed
• Stats manipulation is not allowed

Punishments

Punishments you may receive for breaking rules on PierceSMP

• Chat rules range from temporary to permanent (IP) mutes, however, a ban may be issued depending on the offender's actions
• Forum rules can range from temporary/permanent (IP) mutes/bans
• Team griefing can result in a punishment, however, one is not guaranteed
• Manipulation of player statistics will result in a stats reset and/or punishment
• Obstruction of staff will result in a temporary punishment from the server
• Advertising will result in a punishment
• Scamming will result in a punishment, however, action can only be taken against sufficient evidence and investigation
• Evasion of punishments will result in a permanent punishment on the account that evaded, and a harsher punishment on the main account
• Abusing our store will result in a permanent IP ban from PierceSMP as a whole

Blacklisted Modifications (Hacking)

Any client modification that gives you an unfair advantage is not allowed on our network.
Allowed modifications include, but are not limited to

• Lunar Client
• Labymod Client (When supported)
• Optifine
• 5zig
• Badlion Client
• Forge is allowed, but refrain from using modified forge clients with the goal of giving you unfair advantages

Disallowed modifications include, but are not limited to

• Any form of hacked/modified client
• X-ray (Including modifiations found in modified clients as well as texture packs)
• Minimap
• World Downloader
• AutoClicker
• Macros (Auto text & Command hotkeys are allowed, but abuse - such as spam or unfair advantage - can result in punishment)

Chat Rules

Our chat rules apply to every message you send on our Minecraft Server, Forums or Discord.
We have a strict guideline against any form of negative behaviour regarding comments mentioning racism, sexism, and general harassment.
Inappropriate chatting behaviour includes but is not limited to

• Mass swearing (swearing is ok, but it is recommended to keep it chill)
• Toxicity
• Spam
• Sending meaningless messages excessively
• A message that is made hard to read
• A message containing non-ASCII characters
• Asking for free or discounted ranks (including donator, privileged and staff ranks)
• Annoying people for no reason
• Abusive behaviour towards players for no reason
• Racism
• Sexism
• Harassment
• Insults (falls into the abusive behaviour category)
• Sharing your/others personal information
• Impersonation of any form

Team Griefing

This section also applies to "/trust"ed friends in our SMP, if you are caught violating a claimed area that you are trusted in you could be punished.
Team Griefing includes but is not limited to

• Intentionally trapping (a) teammate(s)/blocking their way
• Attempting to kill them in any way
• Breaking their buildings without a good reason

Stats Manipulation

Stats manipulation includes, but is not limited to

• Constantly quitting while losing or during fights
• Kill farming
• Abusing AFK to gain more XP, mob-drops or play-time.

Staff Obstruction

Staff Obstruction includes but is not limited to

• Intentionally wasting a staff member's time
• Abuse of commands and reports
• False reports (falls into the abuse of reports category)
• Exposing staff in disguise/vanish can also lead to a punishment, most commonly mutes.

Advertising

Advertising includes but is not limited to

• Sharing (an) IP Address(es)
• Initiating a conversation with the intent to advertise/get people on a different server outside of the PierceSMP.com Community
• Joining the PierceSMP.com Network with the intention to advertise
• Spamming links and or IPs in public/private chats

Scamming
 

• Scamming for any in-game currency is not allowed; however, we do not take responsibility for any money that may have been spent/earned outside of our network for in-game items
• Scamming for real-life money will result in a permanent IP ban from our Minecraft Server, Forums, Discord and Store

Punishment Evasion

A punishment evasion is when you join our network on an alternate account while your main is punished. For example, if your main is banned and you join on an alternate account - you will be banned. If you are muted and you chat on an alternate account you may be permanently IP muted.

• Ban evasion results in a permanent IP ban from our Minecraft Server
• Mute evasion ranges in punishments from temporary IP mutes to permanent IP mutes

Store

Our store is a way for the community to support the PierceSMP.com Minecraft Server. We appreciate any donations towards the server, however, abuse of our store will result in definite punishment if caught

• Chargebacks on purchases from our store will result in permanent punishment from all services related to PierceSMP.com. Expect a permanent IP ban from our Minecraft Server, Forums, Discord and Store
• We do not accept refunds - if you feel your purchase was accidental or a complete mistake and would like to try and attempt a refund, please contact our administration team

Forums

Our forums are a place for the PierceSMP.com community to interact and share content/messages with each other.
The following are rules related to our forums, they include but aren't limited to

• Chat rules apply (Chat rules are listed above)
• Stick to forum topics
• Use common sense
• A moderator's decision is final - if you believe their power or action was abused please do not hesitate to report it to our administration team
• Have fun!

Server / Gamemode Rules

SMP Rules
Our SMP server is a classic survival multiplayer in which you can simply play Minecraft survival with other community members from PierceSMP.

• We have strict rules against griefing. Griefing will result in a ban from our server and your changes undone.
• If you have killed another player, you must return their items - you could be punished if you don't!
• Attempting or planning the killing of a staff member may result in you receiving a punishment.
• You may only defeat the wither around 200 blocks away from any base or community build.
• You are not allowed to create nations/governments unless you have gotten direct approval from the owner.
• Wars between groups/individuals are not allowed.
• Hacking is strictly against the rules, don't do it on any server - let alone our smp.
   

Lore Rules
Our Lore server is a NEW custom-written roleplay/lore we have created for the community of PierceSMP.

• All contenders of PierceSMP Lore must follow all server rules & SMP rules at all times. Failure to do so will result in the removal from our lore.

Event Rules
Our Events server is a NEW addition to the community of PierceSMP, we will host weekly rotations of custom/unique or seen-before events.

• All contenders of PierceSMP Events must follow all server rules at all times. Failure to do so will result in a blacklist from all future events.
